A woman installing a mosquito net impregnated with insecticide to reduce the risk of malaria in a rural village. The use of insecticides in netting, households and on a large scale in agriculture has caused malarial mosquitos to develop resistence to the insecticides. New generations of mosquito nets with agents that make them more efficient and with two different insecticides are being developed and tested in Burkina Faso with support by the Global Fund. Burkina Faso is one of the ten countries the most affected by malaria in the world. Malaria is the country's deadliest disease. Sao, Boussé district, Burkina Faso. 21/08/2019. Copyright: Photo © J.B.
